About MX-95

MX-95 is a nostalgic remix of MX Linux, designed to capture the classic mid-1990s desktop aesthetic while keeping all the performance and stability of a modern system.

  • Comes with Firefox as wel as Brave Browser
  • Preloaded Clippy Assistant by Felix Rieseberg
  • Curated wallpapers in /usr/share/backgrounds/
  • Optimized XFCE desktop with MX Tools and tweaks
  • Obsidian comes pre-installed for personal notes, documentation, and creative writing — ready to launch from the Start Menu.
  • A graphical installer for Gemini-CLI is included, allowing you to explore and use AI models locally without needing the terminal.

  1. Explore MX Tools from the main menu for system utilities.
  2. Right-click the desktop to change themes, panels, or wallpaper.
  3. Say hi to Clippy — he’s always ready to lend a paper-clipped hand.
